Owner’s permission is not required. In October 2021, the Clark County Recorder just released a FREE Recording Notification Service!! This service allows members of the public to receive an email alert when a document is recorded against an identified name and/or parcel number.

To SUBSCRIBE to get an email alert when a document is recorded against a specific property, name, or parcel number visit: www.ClarkCountyNV.gov/Recorder

Questions about the Recording Notification Service

Did you know every homeowner is sent a postcard in the mail every year in June and must sign stating they live in the home otherwise the property taxes are increased? What if the card is lost in the mail? They don’t know you occupy the home. You must notify them every year in order for them to give you the correct tax cap.

If your tax cap is not 3% for your primary residence, call the Assessor’s Office at (702) 455-3882. They can email you a form to print and sign to verify your primary residence and correct your tax cap. Don’t forget to check on this every year!

Lastly, don’t forget to keep your property insured at all times. Contact your local insurance agent for more details.
